Dockyard: The Master of all Docks

By Ryan Kroll

Clutter is not a good thing when you are in a hurry to get things done. This can be applied in the computer world as well as daily life. The always essential dock can become cluttered very quickly if you use many different applications during the day. A solution for this is Dockyard by Belkadan Software. It allows you to switch between multiple docks as well as dashboards. Each dock can have its own applications, windows, shortcuts, and most of all: uses. If you need certain applications for school, developing, etc. this would be a great asset to your efficiency.

Dockyard can be controlled in many forms. One of the methods is by Widget(v1.0.1) in your Dashboard, another using the Dockyard Manager(v1.0.1) where you get much more detailed control of your docks. The final method of controlling this app is the menu bar(v1.6.1) where you would be able to access the detailed controls for this app in any environment. To use this you need to download Unsanity's Menu Extra Enabler(v1.0.3).

This application is available for download for computer with 10.3 or later*
*The dashboard widget controller is only available for Mac OS 10.4 or later.
Both are available on the Dockyard webpage

Tweet, Tweet, Tweet Away

A while ago I used to have a Twitter account to keep track of the latest news on macworld while I was at school. After I hadn't used it in a while, I canceled my account. I have a new one: tvgrafxguy. And I really use it, Its so cool. I was thinking of creating an account for 623 productions (the school district tv group I'm involved in) so that everyone in the group could recieve updates and everyone could connect. That'd be awesome. I am using Twitterific, it's like a panel for an application such as iPhoto but way more cool.

I'm BACK! :)

Well after a LONG period of time, I think I'll get back on this whole blog train thing-a. I've been doin' my business over at xanga but I feel more comfortable with blogger, much more customizability. I needed the ability of making this site my own, rather than just typing what you needed to say and not much else. Well I'll be talking to you soon! -Ryan
